Snow does not melt on a spring day because of the sun’s heat. It melts because of the warm air from the sea.
The pink colouring of flamingos depends on the food they eat. In the wild, they filter shrimps and algae from water. In captivity, they are often fed on carrot juice to prevent their feathers fading to dull grey.
